Speech Therapy Services
Welcome to Kanad Hospital Speech Therapy! We are happy you have found us and we hope to be a resource to your family as you support your child’s communication development.
Speech and language difficulties in children are not uncommon. Every child develops at their own rate but there are guidelines to help determine whether your child may need additional help with their communication skills. Scientific research tells us that early intervention is crucial and most effective - the earlier an issue is identified and treated the greater the chance your child has to reach their full potential.
We look forward to giving you and your child the skills and strategies to overcome speech, language and communication challenges. We offer speech and language screening, assessment, consultation, individualized intervention and parent training. Our therapy is play-based and family-centred with parental involvement and home programming as integral parts of every therapy plan.
