What Do We Do?

We help children to achieve their maximal physical and functional potential and improve their gross motor skills during their development. This is done by incorporating through specific treatment plans that even involve the parents in the child’s therapy.

Who needs it and what conditions we treat?

Children from as young as 1 month to 18 years.

Physiotherapy is vital if there is an indication of:

  • Asymmetry in head position with excessive preference of turning head in one direction.
  • Asymmetry in hand and leg use in daily functions.
  • Conditions seen since birth such as CTEV or Torticollis.
  • Atypical sitting and walking, ex: W sitting, walking on toes, walking with toe turned in or turned out, knock knee or bow leg walking.
  • Difficulty in balance while standing and walking or frequent falling while walking and running.
  • Nerve, bone or muscle injuries.
  • Growth related aches and pains.
  • Pain due to posture or soft tissue injuries.
  • Delayed milestones
  • Abnormal tone affecting function

How do we treat:

  • A detailed assessment and evaluation is done and then a treatment plan is laid out which is unique for each child.
  • Generally treatment is in the form of exercises and play therapy targeting the necessary muscles movements and function.
  • Manual therapy and neurological techniques are applied based on the therapy needs of the child.
  • Need for orthosis is assessed and recommended.
